Salon International d’Art - Paris
■ Basic Information
The Paris International Salon was founded with the aim of nurturing Japanese artists who could connect the Paris art scene with the world. Since 1985, it has been the only Japanese-organized salon continuing for 39 years in Paris, consistently showcasing contemporary Japanese artists and their uniquely beautiful works. In recent years, promotional efforts through local information websites and magazines have proven successful. The salon is now cherished not only by enthusiasts and repeat visitors who eagerly anticipate it each year, but also by many Parisians.
Furthermore, with the cooperation of Galerie du Marais, a long-established gallery in Paris's Marais district that collaborates with numerous French artists, the salon began offering “artwork sales” several years ago. With each iteration, the number of visitors coming with the intent to purchase has increased, establishing it as the Japanese art university salon in Paris's 3rd arrondissement.
